Heart disease is not something that happens overnight but it builds up through years of living with risk factors, quoted Mr Chew Soi Ping, Executive Director, Sales, NESTLE (MALAYSIA) BERHAD.

With an increase numbers of participants these year of about 3,800 people, and them sharing these moment and information through their social media with friends and family, they have actually 'saved' and educate others by spreading the word and news. With the increase numbers of high cholesterol at 47.7% in Malaysian adults as young as 18 years and above, is quite alarming. Ignoring will be denying that it is happening.

Lack of regular exercise, unhealthy eating habits and other risk factors like smoking, which can be avoided, especially when we see Malaysians succumbing at a young age to heart disease, mentioned Tun Ahmad Sarji bin Abdul Hamid, President of Yayasan Jantung Malaysia.

CITRAWARNA was introduced in 1999 to promote and celebrate Malaysia's art, nature and culture. It has become a yearly event in May but was change to October in 2015. It had always been known to bring vibrant street parade or street performances in Malaysia. Changes started in 2015 when CITRAWARNA decided to bring it to the huge stage instead.

These year's theme is an exciting one for me as it is something that I have always love since young age. It's 'Myths and Folklore' in street performances based on myths and tales of popular legends in every states in Malaysia.

Officiated by Ybhg. Datuk Rashidi Hasbullah, Deputy Secretary of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, held at Malaysia Tourism Centre, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, mention that myth, legend and folklore are a form of marketing tool for a destination as the stories provide a unique and special character to a destination, thus, attracting tourists to visit.

'In term of tourism context, telling the stories of myth can also give inspiring and exciting experience for tourists, especially when it is associated with mystical powers or even tragic scenario. CITRAWARNA @KUALA LUMPUR 2016 will provide a different experience where the visitors can learn and witness our local myths and legends closer,' he added.

REVENGE OF THE BALTAN

Everyone grew up with ULTRAMAN (Urutoraman) a Japanese television series since 1966. Produced by Tsuburaya Production, broadcast on Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) since July 17, 1966. ULTRAMAN series has become a hit in every household in the world where children would copy paste the zapping hand motion... hahaha I don't actually follow ULTRAMAN series much but my children loves the series.

'Jom, siap. Bawa barang masuk kereta. Nak gerak dah.' gesa bapa.

Mulalah perjalanan ke Utara malam tu. Kerana tugas, diangkutnya semua sekali. Katanya tak nak tinggalkan. Macam biasa bila gerak malam, cuaca sejuk. Kereta tak banyak. Waktu tu highway PLUS tak wujud lagi, jadi travelling akan ambil masa lama lebih kurang 7 jam mengikut jalan lama. Bapa nak stop kat Ipoh jap nak makan dan untuk kami ke tandas. Selepas selesai semua, kami gerak ke arah Utara.

Dah jam 1 lebih pagi masa tu. Keluar dari kawasan Ipoh, kereta Volvo bapa terus ke arah Kuala Kangsar. Kami macam biasa khayal tengok luar tingkap, walaupun tak ada apa-apa nak tengok tetapi agak meralitkan lah juga. Macam-macam main dalam kepala. Nak ke Kuala Kangsar ni ada satu terowong kecil yang kadang kalau nak lalu, kena hon kuat dan naikkan beam light tinggi supaya kenderaan sebelah sana tau. Memang gelap terowong ni.

Lepas aje, tiba-tiba mak cakap, 'neh berhenti jap, ada pakcik tua tu jalan tengah jalan. Kot-kot boleh tumpangkan'. Bapa ikut aje... berhentilah kereta. Mak tanya, 'pakcik nak gi mana, dah malam ni gelap, kami boleh tumpangkan.'

'Tak apa nak, pakcik ni tengah nak terap getah sekarang. Jalan aje nak. Pakcik tak ada apa-apa' Jawab pakcik tu. Mak berat hati sikit, (orang nurse macam tulah lagi-lagi orang tua kan). Selepas tak berjaya pujuk, kami geraklah. Tinggallah pakcik tu kami tengok dari tingkap belakang kereta. Tiba-tiba adik tanya, 'mak, pak, waktu macam ni memang orang toreh getah ke? pakcik tu kan dukung baldi getah kat bahu dia.' Pada waktu itu juga tiba-tiba meremang bulu roma tengkuk tegakkkk, mak pandang bapa, bapa pandang mirror belakang, kami apa lagi pandang balik pada pakcik tu... dia lambai, jalan terus hilang.

Soalan cepu mas yang membawa kami berfikir selepas itu untuk beberapa hari.. hahaha mana ada orang menoreh dalam jam 1 lebih pagi. Jalan yang kami lalu tu memang tidak ada ladang getah hanya kuari yang tidak jauh dari situ dan juga hutan sahaja. Orang tua-tua cakap kadang waktu 12 tengah malam keatas bukan waktu kita dah. Maka beringat-ingatlah sentiasa. Perjalanan kita biarlah dimulakan dengan doa, diringi dengan zikir dan diakhiri dengan alhamdullillah.

ACCOMMODATION
I love LEGOLAND HOTEL, it is the most convenient and closer to the Theme Park. You have lots of activities and attractions here. Of course dancing in the lift is allowed...hahahaha... and yup the music is still there. We had the PIRATE ROOM and yup the Wall Chest is again attacked. These time the answer was a bit hidden but my son managed to solved it hahahaha... everything he turn over to count and he didn't sleep well thinking of the clues.

He had his fun time with LEGO Bricks in the room. He had fun going around the Theme Park learning and experiencing something to him is fun. As long as he is happy is fine with me, but he was already making a lot of things with his LEGOs.

Again our accommodation is not a fail at all.

We have heard or read about how some experience that their KING PRAWN is not so tasty and all. Well these are little facts that was shared,

DIFFERENCE OF KING PRAWN IN PONDS AND WILD

KING PRAWN bred in ponds, are feed with diet pallets, so they are a bit less tasty than the wild ones.
KING PRAWN caught wild is sweeter and firm flesh with the best taste as they breed wildly.

How to differentiate? Tear open the head of the KING PRAWN, locate something that look like the brain, check the colour of it. If it looks dark, then it's a wild one, if it's fair or white then it's a breeding one. hahahaha ok need to learn how to check in the future....

En Bujey/Sharudin, the owner of THE NAI CAFE, grew up in ROMPIN. Being born in a fisherman's family, the knowledge of fishing runs deep to the children as well. So he knows the market well.

With the name itself referring to DENAI ALAM... DENAI = THE NAI.
The availability of KING PRAWN dishes and menu which is quite difficult at times to find especially menus that are cook specially.
His source of KING PRAWN are from Perak, Rompin Muar or Sabah.
Getting to THE NAI CAFE, you can use the GPS or WAZE, it will bring you straight to the cafe. The shortest will be the Sg Buloh, Payajaras Route which will bring you to the Guthrie Corridor highway.
THE NAI CAFE has another branch called SELERA PENANG, located at Taylor's College, serving PENANG dishes.

Nowadays, heart disease do not recognize what age, ethnic or gender. It will go to anyone. So preventing it, you have made a smart choice. I don't have a heart problem but because it is in the family, I need to keep clear as good as possible.

With lack of exercise, poor diet and other unhealthy habits can be the root cause to a health problem through out the years. So these is what I have been doing for the past couple of months to keep me healthy as possible.

THE NEW ME
Yeayyy I am suprised myself with these, as was not expecting much result soon. When I went to a clothing try out, they chose a 2XL size for me to try, but I remembered last it was 4XL. Back and fro, I finally said ok I will try the 2XL and it actually fitted just nice. Seriously fitted just nice.

hahahaha from a size 4XL dropping to 2XL? and when I posted on my social media wall, my friends wanted me to share what I did, so below is roughly what I did.

TRY TO HAVE MORE SALADS EVERYDAY FOR MEALS

EATING HABITS

I watch my food intake nowadays. To stop everything, it might put my body into shock, so I gradually cut down and gradually maintain all my food intake. These are things that I do now

Less Rice. I now take less rice and more of vegetables and fruits.
A fruit a day is a must for me, and I mainly take green apples or oranges.
My vegetables are those leafy ones (lots of it) and bitter gourd.
For bread, I will get those of whole grains, but if there isn't any, I will toast the white ones.
Seafood I now focus more on fish. Any type.
I do take chicken but not much nowadays.
I don't go for meat much already. It use to be my favourite but I have lessen down totally by 97% intake.
Anything dairy is low fat for me.
I also take lots of green tea.
My tea is without sugar...hahaha it has been years since last I ever used sugar. These when I cook, I will substitute it with dates (any kind of kurma) which has natural level and it makes all your dishes taste better.
But plain water is my No.1 priority. Lots of plain water and I take hot ones every time, every day.

EXERCISE

You can ask my friends, they use to suggest I go for exercises but I would just say yes and gone..hahahaha.. but since I got sick last year and seeing some of my friends having good healthy body, mind and soul, I took them as my motivator. They would at times tag me on a lot of good healthy habits and it got me hook.

I started going to gym and do my own exercise at home such as circuit exercises and small jumps.
Zumba a bit when I am in the mood to dance hahaha.
But I walk everyday about 10k steps (10,000). I can't jog due to an ankle problem so I just walk a lot.
I make sure I sweat a lot when I walk that helps with any water retention.
Being a writer, you will be seating most of the time, so the concept of sitting less is like impossible hahaha but it can be done. Break your time of seating. I take time off from the chair and do small exercise to regulate the blood flow.
I have more activities done with my son, who loves walking by the way. So if I want to keep him safe, I need to keep up with him, hahaha being autism as he is, it is not easy ok!
Once a while, a spa visit is good with a good massage.
Try having hot oilment to massage your own body to help burn some excess as well, I do this before my walk. That will make me sweat more.
Try not to sleep or be in a cold are too long, hahaha I make sure I sweat a lot at home when I am not out blogging.

HEALTH CHECK

Please practice frequent check up for your cholesterol, blood pressure and sugar level. It helps you maintain the minimum reading and if it goes high, it's a warning that you need to do something to lower it down. That is what I do...

STRESS FREE
I use to be very uptight about small things, I use to be worrying a lot. Then I started learning to be around happy positive people, just to rub off their happy and positive on me. I have a couple of very positive friends who is there to make me smile immediately... hahahaha so try to leave stress free. Everyone has their ups and downs, their worries, their concerns, their sad moments but always stay smiling and tell yourself, it's just a test and that you will survive it. Send positive vibes to everyone around you and they will in return be happy. And your reward is happy as well hahaha... I am bubbly and laugh a whole lot. That is me now.

Having a good healthy lifestyle is actually better in terms of prevention and to a healthy body, mind and soul. Take it personally from someone who has the highest blood pressure reading and cholesterol. Who has gone and got admitted for 3 times in 3 days straight to a hospital and admitted and discharge. Who has experience before a minor temporary stroke.
